Something that no longer matters.
It’s a dead issue. I don't want to argue with you.
A: Are you still angry at drinking too much? B: No, that's a dead issue now.
That is the biggest or most difficult problem (with the situation being discussed)

If something is not worth a fig, it is not important or considerable.
It was often said by a photographer when he would like small children to look at the camera and smile before he took a photo.
