Color in verb phrase
A noun or pronoun can be used between "color" and "in."
To paint color on something using markers, crayons, etc.
Why don't you try to color it in? I'm sure it will be much more beautiful.

To cover someone or something with a layer of a soft or wet substance like mud, blood, etc. that becomes thick and hard when it dries

The verb "color" should be conjugated according to its tense.
