Cross paths with (one) phrase
The phrase can be rewritten as "cross one's paths".
If a person "crosses paths with someone", he/she meets someone accidentally and surprisingly.
On walking to work, I usually cross paths with smiley kids who will certainly make the day.
It was such a pleasure to cross paths with my best friend while we were going shopping.
I couldn't believe in my eyes. I have just cross paths with Angelina Jolie in a coffee shop.
The verb "cross" should be conjugated according to its tense.
