Drop (one's) aitches British verb phrase
To not pronounce the "h" at the beginning of words
He has difficulty dropping his aitches.
I find it difficult to understand some of their words when people in this region drop their aitches.
Since I moved here, I have been trying to drop my aitches to fit in with the locals.
The verb "drop" must be conjugated according to its tense.
Some English accents, such as the London one, have this characteristic.
