Jailbreak idiom
If you jailbreak an electronic device, especially a mobile device, you do away with restrictions or limitations on that device so that you can install unsanctioned applications or softwares on it.
My brother is an expert on jailbreaking iPhones. He helped me to jailbreak my iPhone so that I managed to get the application for free instead of paying 300 dollars.
Jailbreaking is unlawful in some countries and violators can pay a heavy fine or even go to jail if one is caught doing it.
My mother is an IT professor and she does not support jailbreaking, because she considers it something unethical in the IT industry.
