Live out of a/(one's) suitcase phrase
To live or stay in many places for a short period of time with limited belongings available.
If you don't want to take a sedentary job, you can work as a flight attendant, which is a plum job, but the downside is that you will have to live out of a suitcase.
In order to travel around the world, I'm trying to get accustomed to living out of a suitcase.

The origin of this phrase is not clear.
Children or adults often say this phrase to get their friends to join in something, especially to jump into a swimming pool (pond, lake, etc.)
