There is a funny response for saying goodbye.
This phrase is often used in the case of avoiding greeting someone first when seeing him/her on the street.
A: "I'm going, Jerry, see you later." B: "Not if I see you first."
A: "I will see you the week after next." B: "Not if I see you first. Oh, I'm just kidding."
"See you after work," she greets me cheerfully. "Not if I see you first," I whisper.
