Dude (oneself) up American British slang
To dress politely and even more formally than normal
I am invited to a ceremony tonight so I need to dude myself up.
Jenny dudes herself up in the opening of her store because many important partners will attend.
I have to dude myself up whenever I come to the office.
The verb "dude" should be conjugated according to its tense.
A humorous way of saying that what one has said is just what they acknowledge and may not be entirely accurate
Mike: Have you returned from your vacation on the beach? Your skin seems to get tanned.
Jenny: My skin is always dark. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
