Ping (one) spoken language verb slang
Used to describe the action of sending someone a message.
I will ping David to ask whether he is going with us to the party.
Oh, sorry. I didn't know that you'd pinged me on messenger until I opened the app.
Ping Ross to come over to my office right now.
I'll ping you when I get off the plane.
The verb "ping" should be conjugated with its tense.
A humorous way of saying that what one has said is just what they acknowledge and may not be entirely accurate
Mike: Have you returned from your vacation on the beach? Your skin seems to get tanned.
Jenny: My skin is always dark. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
