Push too far phrase
If a person "pushes someone too far", he/she puts enormous pressure on someone else, makes them respond adversely and violently.
An empathetic leader will never push his employees too far. He will put himself in their shoes instead.
Sometimes students are pushed too far by their teachers about doing homework. It can make them feel stressed out.
If someone "pushes something too far", he/she overdoes something that one can't tolerate or accept.
A: "Hey, can you lend me 10$?" B: "No, last time you borrowed me 15$ and you haven't repaid it yet ." A:"Please, one last time. I will pay you back on Monday." B: "I said no. You're pushing it too far. I can't bear you anymore."
The verb "push" should be conjugated according to its tense.
