To calculate the total of a set of figures, particularly in connection with the cost of something.
Can you tot up the bill again? I don't think this meal costs so much money like that.
After totting up all the expenses, I find possessing a car prohibitively expensive.
The parking cost for each time is quite small. However, if you tot it all up within a year, you will see that you have spent a fairly large amount of money on parking.
The verb "tot" must be conjugated according to its tense.
